Created from gentle, vegan botanicals (including sage, aloe vera, and calendula), our cleanser removes makeup and cleans and detoxes your skin properly, without stripping away any of the good stuff.
In addition to keeping blemishes in check, this clever little cleanser also has your skin’s long-term needs covered, with anti-ageing fighters like bladderwrack and wild peach extract.
For removing heavy makeup and suncream, we suggest using this Cleanser with our Exfoliator Mitt. For best results, follow with Vegan Face Moisturiser.

Dampen skin with warm water. Massage cleanser gently into your face, neck and décolletage, then remove using a bamboo mitt or your hands. Pat dry with a towel. Avoid rubbing your skin as this may cause irritation. Apply moisturiser while your face is still a little damp
do you double cleanse?
The double cleanse is when you wash your face twice in a single session. Many cleansers don’t remove concealer and foundation completely with one wash. The first cleanse is to remove makeup or suncream, and the second is to soften the skin, provide a deeper cleanse and let those active and nourishing skincare ingredients get to your skin. Most of us know not cleansing properly builds dirt and dead skin causing dull looking and often blemishy skin but perhaps more detrimental, particular as our skin ages, this surface layer can prevent active ingredients from getting into the skin and keeping it healthy. So...the double cleanse can be critical in the antioxidants securing victory against the free radicals. Important stuff! If you haven’t been wearing makeup or suncream (nor cycling behind a diesel truck) just cleanse once. Follow cleansing swiftly with an application of Vegan Face Moisturiser to feed the skin whilst pores are open and clean.

Exfoliating is an important part of looking after skin as it removes excess skin cells and cleanses pores, which helps reduce breakouts and keeps skin looking healthy and glows. There are two ways to exfoliate your skin – chemical and physical.
Although ‘chemical’ exfoliation sounds, well, chemical, it actually doesn’t have to be! ‘Chemical’ exfoliation can be done using fruit acids, which are natural alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) – just like we use in both our vegan cleanser and vegan face moisturiser. This is actually a very gentle way to exfoliate your skin effectively. The AHAs work to dissolve the bind of the old skin cells on the surface of the skin. There’s no scrubbing involved, and the chemical exfoliant penetrates deeper layers and continues to work after application. (Basically, it’s magic.)
The second option is ‘physical’ exfoliation. This involves using a physical tool, like a scrub with granules, a brush, or microdermabrasion to, physically remove dead skin cells. Although scrubbing your face can feel somewhat satisfying, the abrasiveness of ‘physical’ exfoliation has the potential to damage your skin barrier. This can cause irritation, dryness, and less protection from ageing.
We’ve added some reusable makeup remover mitts to our range to help move makeup and suncream from the skin. Beady scrubs or brushes are usually too rough for our delicate facial skin, so our mitts are made from soft tiny cotton and bamboo microfibres. The microfibres break the surface tension of the oils that bond makeup to the skin, while gentle exfoliating.
