Ingredients

(makes 4)

Waffles

  • 1 cup wholegrain flour
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp maca powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp rice oil
  • 150mls oatmilk
  • 3 tbsp soy yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp agave syrup
  • a pinch of salt

Toppings

  • Choose your favourite or we used:
  • Soy yoghurt
  • Orange
  • Pepitas
  • Drizzle of agave syrup

Instructions

(Preparation time 30 minutes)

Start by preheating the waffle iron*. Put all the ingredients in a bowl and stir with a spoon until it forms an evenly mixed batter. Then grease the waffle iron either with oil or butter and put about three spoons of batter in each form (depending on the size of your waffle iron). Cook them for a few minutes (again depending on your waffle iron. let cook for 10 minutes if you like them to be a bit crisp). Repeat until there’s no batter left. Serve warm with your favourite toppings.

*If you don’t have a waffle iron you can use a grill pan by spooning the waffle batter onto the pan and let it spread into a circle.
